Vocational Trainer Retail

Tata STRIVE is looking for passionate and skilled Vocational Trainers to deliver Retail training under the NSQF Programme in Government Schools. The trainer will be responsible for imparting industry-relevant knowledge, developing practical skills among students, and ensuring effective implementation of the vocational curriculum in line with NSQF guidelines.

Government Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools, UT of Ladakh (GHS Skalzangling & GHS Housing Colony)

Organization

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver classroom and practical sessions as per the NSQF Retail curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and assessments.
- Facilitate experiential and activity-based learning to enhance student engagement.
- Assess students through periodic evaluations and maintain academic records.
- Ensure timely completion of curriculum and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Provide career guidance, mentoring, and employability support to students.
- Maintain attendance records, training documentation, and MIS reports.
- Coordinate with school authorities, project teams, and other stakeholders for smooth programme implementation.
- Organize industry interactions, guest lectures, educational visits, and practical demonstrations wherever applicable.




- Ensure compliance with Tata STRIVE quality standards and programme guidelines.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

- B.Voc. in Retail Management
OR
- Diploma in Retail Management
OR
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management/Retail Management
OR
- Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing with a minimum of 50% marks and at least one year of teaching/work experience
OR
- M.Com. with Diploma in Retail/Marketing
OR
- M.Com. with Marketing as a subject
OR
- MBA (General/Retail/Marketing)

Experience

- Minimum one year of teaching, training, or relevant industry experience (where applicable).
- Prior experience in vocational education, skill development, or retail operations will be preferred.

Desired Skills

- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and mentor school students.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, online reporting).
- Ability to work collaboratively with schools and project stakeholders.
