Abhinaya Cinemas

India

Abhinaya Cinemas is looking for a Senior HR Associate to anchor our corporate HR function and support the people who keep our cinemas running. This is a hands-on generalist role spanning the full employee lifecycle — from hiring and onboarding to payroll, compliance, employee relations, and day- to-day HR operations. You will work closely with the HR Manager and cinema-location teams to ensure our HR practices are consistent, compliant, and people-first across all properties.

The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing process and policy with the human side of HR.

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for corporate and cinema roles — drafting job descriptions, posting openings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and rolling out offers.
- Run a smooth onboarding experience: offer letters, documentation, induction, and first-week setup for recent joiners.
- Maintain a pipeline of candidates for high-turnover cinema roles (box office, F&B, ushers, projection).

Payroll & Compliance

- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs — attendance, leave, overtime, and adjustments — and liaise with finance/payroll for accurate, on-time processing.
- Ensure statutory compliance, including PF, ESI, professional tax, and applicable labour-law requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready records and support periodic compliance reviews and statutory filings. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and workplace concerns; resolve or escalate appropriately.
- Support performance management cycles — reviews, feedback, and improvement plans.
- Drive engagement and retention initiatives,

recognition programmes, and a positive workplace culture across locations.

HR Operations & Administration

- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and HR documentation.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and SOPs; ensure consistent application across cinemas.
- Generate HR reports and dashboards (headcount, attrition, leave, compliance) for management.
- Support day-to-day HR administration and continuous improvement of HR processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred).
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally as a generalist; experience in retail, hospitality, or multi-location operations is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, professional tax,

Shops & Establishments Act).

- Hands-on experience with payroll inputs and HRIS/HR software.
- Experience with HR/payroll platforms such as HrOne, greytHR, Zoho People, Keka, or similar is a strong plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; approachable and discreet with confidential matters.
- Strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
- Problem-solver who can balance policy with empathy.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and comfort with HR tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across corporate and cinema teams.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month

Benefits:

- Health insurance
- Leave encashment
- Provident Fund

Work Location: In person
