AutoCAD Machine Operator – Job Description

Job Title: AutoCAD Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Machine Operator to prepare technical drawings, operate CNC/laser/plasma cutting machines, and ensure accurate production as per engineering specifications. The candidate should have knowledge of AutoCAD, machine operation, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Operate CNC, Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, or other production machines as per drawings.
- Set up machine parameters and monitor production.
- Ensure dimensions and product quality meet specifications.
- Perform machine calibration and routine maintenance.
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
- Coordinate with the Production and Design teams for drawing revisions.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Minimize material wastage and improve production efficiency.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).




- Knowledge of CNC/Laser/Plasma machine operation.
- Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Understanding of measuring instruments (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Steel Scale).
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
- Positive problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- AutoCAD certification is preferred.

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and machine operation.
