Job Summary

Are you ready to elevate your career in software engineering? NetApp is seeking Software Engineers to join the CPTO team and contribute to the development and design of innovative incubation projects that will drive the tech strategy for NetApp.

CPTO is the Chief Platform and Technology Office in NetApp. The CPTO office connects technology shifts to business transformation. This office is accountable for driving the organization’s transformation objectives with clear ownership of technology strategy, platform development and business impact.

Job Requirements

- Familiarity with the design and development of system software.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with Go, python & React is required.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux System Programming and Multithreaded programming.
- Experience in the Storage/Cloud Domain.
- Strong conceptual understanding of OS internals.
- Expertise in algorithms, data structures, and multi-threaded programming is essential.
- Commitment to sound software engineering practices and a passion for quality.Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.




- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, targeted at a wide variety of internal and external audiences.
- Ability to understand customer deployment scenarios and experience in collaborating with peer teams outside of engineering.
- Strong written and communication skills with proven fluency in English.
- Be proficient in using AI in coding and understanding of AI/ML.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as NoSQL, Prometheus and datalake.
- Hands-on experience with code conversion tools like Git.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies - SCRUM/AGILE/LEAN.
- Knowledge of software deployment - Docker/Kubernetes.

Role & Responsibilities:

As an engineer in the NetApp’s CPTO organization, you will be executing our most challenging and complex projects. You will be responsible for decomposing complex product requirements into simple solutions, understanding system interdependencies and limitations and engineering best practices.

As an engineer, you’ll have the chance to

- Contribute to the technology strategy by coding to accelerate the pace of innovation within NetApp and the Industry.
- Participate in POCs that drive the roadmap and long-term vision.
- Work on unconventional, out of box system architectures that scale to the demands of modern day AI workloads.
- Work under the mentorship of principal and distinguished engineers and be the technical bar-raiser for senior and principal technical roles.
- Work on incubation pipeline projects that drives business priorities, technology and competitive trends as well as new and emerging customer use cases.
- Build large scale, fault-tolerant, low-latency distributed systems.
- Collaborate with the team on projects involving new feature development, sustaining efforts, and handling engineering escalations.
- Participate from definition and design to implementation, debugging, testing, and early customer support.
- Solve technical issues collaboratively with other engineers.

Education

- Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Computer Science; or equivalent experience
