Plant HR (AM) - Job Description

Location: Kharagpur, West Bengal

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Plant HR Manager / Unit Head

Role Purpose:

To manage and execute all HR operations at the plant level, ensuring smooth workforce management, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and alignment with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment, interviews, onboarding, induction.
- Attendance & Payroll: Maintain attendance, leave, rosters, payroll inputs, absenteeism.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Factory Act, Gratuity Act; maintain registers; coordinate audits.
- Employee Relations: Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, industrial relations, engagement activities.
- Performance Management: Support appraisals and performance tracking.




- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate technical/behavioral programs.
- HR Operations: Maintain employee records, implement HR policies/SOPs, manage contract labour and vendors.

Key Requirements

- Qualification: MBA / PGDM in HR or relevant field
- Experience: 6+ years in Plant HR / Manufacturing
- Preferred: FMCG / Packaging / Manufacturing industry

Key Skills

Knowledge of labour laws, interpersonal & communication skills, problem-solving, MS Excel, HRMS, ability to work in fast-paced plant environment.

Additional Requirement

Hands-on approach and solid execution capability.
