To maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records by ensuring timely data entry, record management, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient information in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Maintain, file, retrieve, and archive OPD/IPD medical records.
- Verify completeness of discharged patient files and follow up for missing documents or signatures.
- Scan and upload medical records into the electronic system.
- Generate MRD reports and maintain departmental registers.
- Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient records.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Billing, Laboratory, Radiology, and other departments for record completion.
- Assist during NABH audits and maintain MRD documentation as per hospital policies.
- Report discrepancies or incomplete records to the MRD In-charge.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Management.
Qualification
- Graduate with a Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA/PGDCA or equivalent).
- Knowledge of MS Office and Hospital Information System (HIS)
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hospital operations, or patient services.
