MDM Architecture & Strategy

- Strong experience designing end-to-end enterprise MDM solutions

- Deep understanding of MDM styles: registry, consolidation, coexistence, centralized

- Ability to define multi-domain MDM strategy (Customer, Product, Vendor, Reference Data)

- Expertise in enterprise data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)

- Ability to define golden record strategy, survivorship, and identity resolution

End-to-End MDM Flow

- Solid understanding of complete MDM lifecycle:

o Source onboarding

o Data ingestion (batch/real-time)

o Staging and standardization

o Matching, merging,

o Hierarchy management

o Distribution to downstream systems

- Experience designing multi-source ingestion and crosswalk/id mapping strategies

Data Governance

- Ability to design and implement enterprise data governance frameworks

- Experience defining:

o Data ownership (data owners, stewards)

o Governance operating model and RACI

o Data policies, standards, and controls

- Experience designing data stewardship workflows and approval processes

- Understanding of metadata management, lineage, and auditability

Data Quality

- Strong experience in defining data quality frameworks:

o Profiling

o Validation rules

o Standardization and cleansing

o Enrichment processes

- Ability to define data quality KPIs, scorecards, and monitoring frameworks

- Experience integrating DQ processes within MDM lifecycle

Integration & Ecosystem Architecture

- Strong experience designing integration patterns:

o Batch, real-time, event-driven

o API-led integrations

- Ability to integrate MDM with:

o ERP, CRM, legacy systems

o Data lakes / data platforms

- Experience with microservices/API-first architectures

Performance & Scalability

- Ability to design for high-volume, enterprise-scale data environments

- Experience defining performance optimization strategies (match, load, integration)

- Knowledge of scalability, availability, and resilience patterns

Delivery & Leadership

- Ability to lead end-to-end MDM programs (strategy implementation adoption)

- Experience in client workshops, requirements, and solution design discussions

- Strong stakeholder management across Business, IT, Data Governance teams

- Experience mentoring teams and driving best practices
