The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in the hotel. The role ensures a comfortable and pleasant stay experience for guests by adhering to hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service guest rooms (bed making, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning).
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for according to hotel standards and procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas like corridors, lobbies, and restrooms.
- Follow proper waste disposal and sanitation practices.
- Manage laundry items (collect, sort, and send for washing if required).
- Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas organized.
- Adhere to safety, hygiene, and hotel policies at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic education (10th/12th preferred).
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Valuable physical stamina and ability to work long hours.
- Basic communication skills (local language; basic English preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Polite and customer-friendly attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long hours).
Salary Range (India):
- ₹8,000 – ₹15,000 per month (varies by experience).
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
