The Senior PHP Developer is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using PHP, Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.

Lead the development of backend solutions, ensuring high performance, security and maintainability.

Architect, design, and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and front-end developers to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and other web services.

Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and enforcing coding standards and best practices.

Mentor and guide junior developers, supporting their technical growth and career development.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications and improve database performance.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter and PostgreSQL.

Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle,



from requirements gathering and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior PHP Developer with strong hands-on experience in Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.

Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing databases using PostgreSQL.

Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and common design patterns.

Solid understanding of relational database concepts, SQL query optimization, and PostgreSQL database administration.

Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js or React) for effective collaboration.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Should be ready to relocate to Trivandrum or Candidates from Trivandrum are mostly preferred

Salary Range: 35,000 to 50,000 (candidate who are ready to join with the mentioned salary range are only accepted)
