Position Details

Job Purpose

To impart quality physical education and sports training to students in accordance with CBSE guidelines, while promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyle practices among students.

Key Responsibilities

Sports & Activity Management

- Organize intra-school and inter-school sports competitions and athletic events.
- Train and prepare students for tournaments, competitions, and sports meets.
- Conduct morning drills, PT Exercises and fitness programs.
- Coordinate Annual Sports Day and other physical activity events.

Student Development

- Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and leadership qualities among students.
- Motivate students to actively participate in physical activities and sports competitions.
- Conduct remedial, enrichment, and practice sessions whenever required.
- Evaluate students’ physical fitness, participation, discipline, and overall performance.
- Maintain attendance records, progress reports, and student performance data.
- Ensure inclusivity and equal participation opportunities for all students.
- Coordinate with school authorities, parents, and fellow teachers regarding student progress and development.

Safety & Discipline





- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all sports and physical activities.
- Maintain discipline on playgrounds, courts, and sports areas.
- Provide basic first aid support whenever required.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain sports equipment, inventory records, and playground facilities.
- Prepare reports related to sports activities, competitions, and student achievements.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school functions.
- Perform additional school duties assigned by the Principal from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed./B.P.E.)

Sports Specialization

- Football / Basketball / Volley Ball

Experience

- 3–5 years of teaching/coaching experience preferred in a CBSE school.
