Description- Working in Gurugram, India, you will be integrated with the unit that provides research support to Kearney consultants globally. Within this, you will join the Research Team that focuses on working across research projects and initiatives along with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from different sectors like Auto, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Telecom, Media, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Digital, etc..
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with project team members to refine and refocus their research needs
- Determine the most appropriate, cost-effective, and timely solutions
- Gather information using a broad spectrum of sources
- Synthesize the findings into targeted, firm-formatted end products with some interpretation of the “so what” of the research; end products including single exhibits, written summaries, basic fact packs, and spread-sheets, utilizing standard financial concepts, ratios and calculations
- Build expertise by developing basic fact packs, summaries, and be assigned portions of larger documents in your area of focus
- Solid understanding of a specific content area and its salient issues form the basis for advancement in the Global Research career path including contribution to knowledge artifacts, primers, proposals, white papers, etc.
Knowledge and Skills requirement:
- · Request scoping/problem solving: Good investigative problem solving skills – ability to help refine and focus project team requests and objectives
- · Source knowledge: Solid source knowledge in area of expertise, if relevant; increasing source quality recognition and use of possible proxies
- · Industry/functional knowledge: Understanding of basic concepts of any one or multiple sectors such as Automotive, Industrials, heavy machinery/equipment, A&D;, Energy, Communication, Media and Telecom
- · Financial knowledge: Valuable understating of basic financials specific to the industry and working knowledge of financial statements; ability to conduct competitive intelligence and financial benchmarking
- · Numerical skills: Solid understanding of complex economic, financial and business terminology with ability to perform medium-complexity analyses
- · Research output: Excellent skills in summarizing data, using conceptual frameworks and pulling out the “so-what’s” from research
- · Expertise dissemination: Contribution to the creation of knowledge- sharing materials to fill knowledge/learning gaps; frequent engagement in knowledge-sharing discussions
- · Communications: Good written and oral communication skills, including appropriate style, confidence, and structure; effective listening skills

Excellent customer focus, including proactive responses to project-team needs with thoughtfulness, commitment, and diligence

- · Education: A postgraduate degree from a respected institution with demonstrated analytical skills is preferred.
- · Experience: 2+ years of relevant business research experience with demonstrated involvement in discrete research-type projects
- · Exposure to multiple sectors is preferred
- · Preferably, concentration or advanced work in a business-related discipline
- · Ideally, additional languages and multicultural experience
Education & Experience:
- · Education: A postgraduate degree from a respected institution with demonstrated analytical skills is preferred.
- · Experience: 2+ years of relevant business research experience with demonstrated involvement in discrete research-type projects
- · Exposure to multiple sectors is preferred
