We are looking for a Process Safety professional to lead and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) activities in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves identifying process hazards, ensuring statutory compliance, strengthening emergency preparedness, conducting safety audits, and driving a robust safety culture across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.
- Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), HAZOP, and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
- Ensure fire safety systems and emergency response plans are effective and operational.
- Lead emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and incident response.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety laws, environmental regulations, and company standards.
- Coordinate fire safety training and awareness programs.
- Monitor maintenance and calibration of fire detection and protection systems.
- Support transportation safety for hazardous chemicals and train tanker drivers.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and drive continuous safety improvements.
- Manage process safety documentation and regulatory reporting.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) or NEBOSH preferred.
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
