Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Process development and optimization of next-generation cell architectures (TOPCon, TOPCon+, Perovskite-Si tandem etc.).Conduct detailed studies for assessment of cell and module performance, reliability and scalabilityFabricate prototype and manage lab-scale trials in collaboration with educational institutes, research labs and material developers for efficient knowledge transfer.Develop process windows, control limits, and spec sheets for new steps.Perform cost modeling and manufacturability assessment (BoM impact, capex, throughput, yield).Work closely with external collaborators, JV teams and vendors of materials, equipment, for smooth operation of JV for reaching their KPI's and deliverables.Support scale-up of lab innovations to pilot and mass production.

Educational Qualification & Desired Experience





PhD in Energy Science and Engineering / Material Science and Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Electrical Engineering from a renowned instituteMinimum two years industrial / postdoctoral research experience in next generation technologyMust have experience in assessing cell performance metrics (efficiency, Voc, Jsc, FF, cycle life, capacity retention).Desirable to have experience in electrical, physical, and chemical characterization using advanced tools (PL/EL, CV, EIS, SEM/TEM, XRD, Raman, etc.)Knowledgeable on failure mechanisms, degradation modes, and long-term reliability of solar cells, modules and various BoMDesirable to have experience in data analysis, statistical modeling and DOE to drive process improvements.
