Overview:

Worked with a global digital services organization supporting large US-based asset managers, specializing in credit strategies and private funds. Collaborated with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial reporting and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The person will be responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions for the Credit Strategy and will include:

- Take end-to-end ownership of designated funds within the Credit Strategy platform.
- Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Coordinate year-end audits and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Review fund financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with the Investor Relations/Product Team to prepare and review quarterly investor reports and investor letters.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of fund performance and portfolio updates to investors.
- Review fund NAV calculations and NAV packages prepared by internal teams and third-party administrators.
- Oversee capital allocations, management fees, incentive fees/carried interest calculations, and investor capital activities.
- Ensure accuracy of fund accounting records and reporting outputs.

Compliance & Fund Review

- Work closely with Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Operations teams to understand complex fund structures and reporting implications.
- Review fund activities across multiple jurisdictions and ensure adherence to applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong governance and internal controls around fund operations.
- Review and approve fund expenses, management company expenses, and vendor invoices.




- Ensure proper expense allocation and adherence to fund governing documents.
- Assist in managing and mentoring finance and operations team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive process enhancements and operational efficiencies.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, fund administrators, custodians, tax advisors, and other external service providers.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless fund operations.

Required Qualifications

- CA, CPA qualification preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in Asset Management, Fund Accounting, Fund Finance, Private Equity, Private Credit, Direct Lending, or Public Accounting.
- Experience working with private funds, credit funds, mezzanine strategies, direct lending, or alternative investments preferred.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting principles, NAV calculations, capital allocations, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with multiple jurisdictions and complex investment structures.
- Ability to interpret and analyze legal agreements, fund documents, and investor agreements.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Technical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in Financial Modeling and Valuation Analysis is preferred.
- Exposure to FP&A;, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with SEC regulatory requirements and registered funds is a plus.
- Experience with fund accounting platforms and reporting systems preferred.
