Job Description: Power Platform / Power Automate Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Power Automate and Power Platform expert to design, build, and lead automation solutions for our clients. This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with client-facing skills and the ability to lead a small team of developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions using Power Automate (Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows/RPA)

• Architect solutions across the broader Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Pages) as needed

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for client engagements—gather requirements, propose solutions, manage expectations

• Lead and mentor a team of Power Platform developers; review flow design and ensure best practices

• Translate business processes into scalable, well-governed automation workflows

• Integrate Power Automate with third-party systems and APIs (SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Teams,

Outlook, SQL, custom connectors)

• Implement error handling, monitoring, and exception management for critical flows

• Apply ALM practices — solution layering, environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), source control

• Ensure solutions follow governance, security, and compliance standards (DLP policies, access

control, licensing)

• Conduct requirement workshops, solution demos,



and UAT sessions with clients

• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer material

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of hands-on experience with Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows)

• Strong working knowledge of the Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI)

• Experience with custom connectors, HTTP requests, and API integrations

• Understanding of Power Platform governance, security roles, environments, and licensing models

• Familiarity with Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus) is a plus

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power Fx, JSON, and expressions

• Experience with ALM tools (Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps) preferred

• Prior experience leading or mentoring a small technical team

• Proven experience working directly with clients on requirements and solution presentation

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Domain Knowledge

• Good understanding of business processes across one or more domains (Finance, HR, Supply

Chain, ITSM, etc.)

• Ability to map business requirements to technical automation solutions

Good to Have

• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400, PL-600)

• Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere)

• Exposure to AI Builder within Power Automate
