Position Purpose

As a key member of the Electronic Chemicals leadership team, Business Operations will act as the business-operations and execution partner to the head of the business, helping to run the EC business end to end. In a fast-scaling, new, and dynamic business this role brings structure, rigour and pace - translating strategy into executable plans, project-managing the build-out, coordinating delivery across functions and external consultants, and running the operating cadence that support decision-making. The biz-ops position works closely with the business lead and interfaces across R&D;, Technology Transfer (TT), Business Development (BD), Finance, Operations, Corporate and external consultants to ensure aligned, timely and high-quality execution as the business scales.

Strategic Responsibilities

- Act as the business-operations and execution partner to the head for the Electronic Chemicals business, translating strategy into structured plans with clear owners, milestones and metrics.
- Build and maintain the business plan and investment / capex business cases to support business decisions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across R&D;, Technology Transfer, Business Development, Finance, Operations and Corporate to keep strategic initiatives on track.
- Scope, coordinate and synthesise the work of external consultants - challenging assumptions and turning their outputs into actionable conclusions.




- Support the business head on customer and partner engagement.
- Support the business head on any other strategic and operational initiatives as required.

Operational Responsibilities

- Establish and run the business operating cadence - review meetings, dashboards, KPI / MIS tracking and action-tracking.
- Prepare Board-, Executive Committee- and VCMD-ready materials, decks and analyses to a high standard.
- Coordinate day-to-day execution across R&D;, Technology Transfer, Business Development, Finance, Operations and Corporate; identify blockers and drive timely resolution.
- Capture decisions, owners and follow-ups from key meetings and reviews, and ensure accountability and closure.
- Manage the interface with external consultants on live workstreams, ensuring outputs are on scope, on time and fit for purpose.
- Continuously improve processes, reporting and the operating rhythm as the business scales.

Financial Responsibilities

- Build and maintain financial models, annual budgets and multi-year projections for the business and for individual projects.
- Track performance against budget, analyse variances and surface insights and corrective actions for the business head.

People Responsibilities

- Build strong, trust-based working relationships across functions and with external consultants and partners.




- Coordinate and guide cross-functional working groups and any individuals supporting the business.
- Operate with high ownership, discretion and integrity, handling sensitive commercial and strategic information appropriately.
- Role-model the company's values and high standards of professional conduct.

Education Qualification

Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) and / or MBA from a premier institute

Work Experience

~4-8 years in project management, corporate strategy, business operations, or a comparable analytical / execution role (level adaptable for the right candidate).
