Job DescriptionPosition Title: Assistant Manager – Quality NDepartment: Quality NLocation: Hootagalli Industrial Area, Mysore. NReports To: Quality Manager / Plant Manager NJob Summary: NThe Assistant Manager - Quality is responsible for ensuring that the quality standards in automobile manufacturing are maintained and improved. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the design, manufacturing processes, and final product meet or exceed quality standards. The role will involve overseeing quality control processes, audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and managing a team of quality inspectors. NKey Responsibilities: Nn Quality Assurance: Nnn Ensure allproduction processes meet the required quality standards. N Oversee the inspection of raw materials, parts, and finished products. N Develop and implement quality control plans, processes, and procedures. N Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Nnn Process Improvement: Nnn Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for quality issues. N Monitor key performanceindicators (KPIs) for quality and production efficiency. N Propose and implement improvements to optimize production processes and reduce defects. N Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related challenges. Nnn Team Leadership and Development: Nnn Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors and technicians. N Provide training on quality standards, inspection techniques, and new technologies. N Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback for skill development. Nnn Documentation and Reporting: Nnn Prepare and maintain detailed reports on product quality and performance. N Conduct internal auditsand prepare for external quality audits. N Ensure accurate documentation of quality processes, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Nnn Customer and Supplier Interaction: Nnn Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality. N Address customer complaints and warranty issues related to product quality.



N Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their quality expectations. Nnn Complianceand Standards: Nnn Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to ISO 9001 and other relevant industry certifications and standards. N Stay updated on industry trends and new quality regulations. N Ensure product compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations. NnSkills and Qualifications: Nn Educational Qualifications: N Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or a related field. N Experience: N 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control in the automobile manufacturing industry. N Experience with qualitysystems, audits, and troubleshooting production issues. Nnn Skills: N Strong knowledge of quality tools (e.G., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Control Plans). N Proficient in using quality inspection equipment and software (e.G., CMM, Statistical Process Control). N Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. N Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. N Ability to work in a rapid-paced, high-pressure environment. N Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the automobile industry (e.G., stamping, welding, assembly, testing). Nnn Personal Attributes: N Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency. N Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. N Analytical mindset witha proactive approach to process improvement. NnWorking Conditions: Nn Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, potential overtime depending on requirements. N Work is typically performed in a factory/production environment, which may include exposure to noise, machinery, and other industrial conditions. N Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits or customer meetings. NnCompensationn N Salary: As per industry standards (Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000) N Benefits: PF, Insurance (Self), Annual Bonus, Incentives, etc. N
