Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer – I will support the New Product Development (NPD) team in designing, developing, testing, and validating new products. The role involves preparing engineering drawings, developing prototypes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring products meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and development of new products and components.
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Develop engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and design reports.
- Participate in prototype development, assembly, and product evaluation.
- Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Support product testing, validation, and verification activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Procurement teams during product development.
- Assist in design improvements based on testing and customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and applicable standards.




- Maintain design records and documentation as per engineering change procedures.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design-related issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Basic knowledge of product development processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to medical device manufacturing is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 documentation and quality systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with prototype development and testing methods.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹28,000 per month (Based on experience, technical knowledge, and interview performance)
