Job Description

Qualification – Btech Civil + MBA
n
B. Tech in Civil Engineering + MBA is mandatory.
n
Robust leadership experience in large-scale construction projects is preferred.
n

1. Project Controls Leadership
n
n
- Lead and develop the Project Controls department across multiple projects.
n
- Establish project control frameworks, governance models, and reporting standards.
n
- Define KPIs, project performance metrics, and control mechanisms to ensure successful project delivery.
n
- Provide strategic direction to Planning, Cost Control, Risk Management, and Reporting teams.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement global project control best practices.
n
n
n
n
2. Planning & Scheduling
n
n
- Develop and oversee integrated master project schedules for large-scale construction developments.
n
- Ensure project schedules are aligned with design, procurement, approvals, construction, and handover activities.
n
- Monitor schedule performance, identify delays, and recommend recovery plans.
n
- Review baseline schedules, revised schedules, and look-ahead plans prepared by project teams.
n
- Ensure effective use of Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools.
n
n
n
n
3. Cost Control & Budget Management
n
n
- Develop project budgets, cost baselines, and financial control systems.
n
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
n
- Review cost reports, cash flow forecasts, commitments, and financial performance.
n
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
n
- Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
n
- Support financial forecasting and project profitability analysis.
n
n
n
n
4. Project Performance Monitoring
n
n
- Track project progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) and other performance measurement techniques.
n
- Monitor project KPIs including cost, schedule, productivity, quality, and risk.
n
- Identify performance gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
n
- Develop executive dashboards and portfolio-level reporting systems.
n
- Present project performance reports to executive leadership.
n
n
n
n
5. Risk Management
n
n
- Establish enterprise-level project risk management frameworks.
n
- Develop and maintain project risk registers.
n
- Identify commercial, technical, contractual, financial, and operational risks.
n
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
n
- Lead schedule and cost risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations where applicable.
n
- Ensure mitigation plans are implemented and regularly reviewed.
n

n
6. Contract & Commercial Management
n
n
- Oversee contract administration activities across projects.
n
- Review contractual obligations and ensure compliance.
n
- Manage variation orders, change management, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
n
- Support commercial negotiations with contractors and consultants.
n
- Coordinate with Legal and Commercial teams on contractual matters.
n

7. Project Governance & Reporting
n
n
- Establish governance processes for project approvals, stage gates, and reporting.
n
- Review monthly project reports, executive summaries, and management presentations.
n
- Monitor project compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
n
- Standardize reporting formats across all projects.
n
- Provide portfolio-level updates to senior leadership and board members.
n

8. Resource Planning & Productivity
n
n
- Monitor manpower utilization and resource allocation across projects.
n
- Analyze productivity trends and recommend efficiency improvements.
n
- Support project teams in resource forecasting.
n
- Ensure optimum utilization of project resources.
n
n
n
n
9. Quality, Compliance & HSE Coordination
n
n
- Ensure project controls processes align with quality standards and organizational procedures.
n
- Monitor compliance with statutory requirements and client specifications.
n
- Coordinate with Quality and HSE teams to ensure project compliance.
n
- Support project audits and governance reviews.
n
n
n
n
10. Digital Transformation & Systems
n
n
- Lead implementation of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
n
- Drive digital reporting through Power BI, Primavera Analytics, and ERP integration.
n
- Implement data analytics and dashboard reporting for executive decision-making.
n
- Promote automation of project controls processes.
n
- Review, Audit, Advisory & Risk Management
n
- Conduct periodic reviews of project performance, including schedule, cost, quality, procurement, and commercial aspects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
n
- Lead project health checks and independent project control audits to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas requiring corrective action.
n
- Provide strategic advisory support to Project Directors and senior leadership on project execution strategies, governance, and performance improvement initiatives.
n
- Review project baselines, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, contracts, and risk registers to ensure compliance with established project control standards.
n
- Perform detailed schedule, cost, and resource analysis to identify deviations and recommend mitigation and recovery plans.
n
- Lead qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including schedule and cost risk analysis, to evaluate potential project impacts.
n
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide project risk management frameworks, ensuring proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of project risks.
n
- Review claims, change orders, variation requests, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions from a commercial and contractual risk perspective.
n
- Conduct governance and compliance audits to ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
n
- Provide recommendations on value engineering, cost optimization, resource utilization, and process improvements to enhance project performance.
n
- Present audit findings, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to executive management and stakeholders through detailed reports and dashboards.
n
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from audits and project reviews to ensure continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
