Job Description: An Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I;) Head directs a facility’s or project's entire E&I; department. They are responsible for leading design, installation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical networks and automated control systems, ensuring compliance with strict safety regulations and operational budgets. Core Responsibilities

- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of engineers and technicians, assigning work priorities and managing department budgets.
- System Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, power distribution systems, and process instruments to minimize downtime.
- Project Execution: Manage E&I; projects from conception through installation, testing, and final commissioning.
- Automation & Control: Direct the programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLCs, SCADA, and distributed control systems.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all E&I; systems adhere to industry standards and government regulations.

Technical Specifications

- Standard Compliance: IEEE, NEC, NFPA, IEC, and ISA.
- Control Systems: Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC),



and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
- Equipment: LV/MV Switchgears, transformers, generators, process transmitters, and control valves.
- Software Tools: AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP (for power system analysis), and specialized calibration tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: Typically 15 to 25+ years of progressive leadership and hands-on E&I; experience, often in sectors like oil & gas, manufacturing, or power.
- Skills: Solid crisis management, project management, and vendor/subcontractor negotiation abilities.
