Production Supervisor – Polishing & Finishing

Location: Thirumudivakkam, Chennai
Experience: 3 years and above in factory production or finishing operations

We are looking for an experienced Finishing Supervisor to manage finishing activities for stainless-steel products.

Main Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily finishing production.
- Manage polishing, buffing, deburring, grinding, trimming, cleaning and final finishing operations.
- Allocate workers to different machines and workstations.
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved.
- Check surface finish, scratches, dents, burrs, sharp edges and polishing quality.
- Ensure rejected or defective products are corrected before final inspection.
- Monitor worker productivity and reduce idle time.
- Control usage of polishing wheels, flap discs, compounds and other consumables.
- Coordinate with production, quality and maintenance supervisors.
- Ensure machines, tools, fixtures and work areas are properly maintained.
- Maintain daily production, rejection, rework and worker attendance records.
- Train workers in correct finishing methods and safe machine operation.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness,



safety and proper material handling.
- Support implementation of ISO quality procedures and work instructions.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience supervising finishing, polishing, buffing, grinding or fabrication workers.
- Positive knowledge of stainless-steel surface finishing.
- Ability to identify scratches, dents, burrs and finishing defects.
- Ability to manage workers firmly and professionally.
- Basic knowledge of production records and quality inspection.
- Must be disciplined, responsible and target-oriented.
- Should be willing to work on the factory floor and actively monitor production.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates from stainless-steel cookware, sheet-metal, automobile components, fabrication, polishing or metal-finishing industries will be preferred.
