Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have 1. Good hands on experience on AIX 6.1,7.1,7.2 operating systems running on power7/8/9 frames including PowerVM Virtualization.
2. Performing TL updates and migrations of AIX O.S using different methods.
3. Experience in managing Volume Groups and LVM using SAN disks.
4. Experience in using HMC to perform various activities like DLPAR,profile changes etc.
5. Troubleshooting of AIX Operating system related issues.
6. Experience in network services management like NFS,SSH,SFTP.
7. Experience in managing HACMP and VIO.
8. Experience with monitoring tools and analyzing resource utilization of AIX servers.
Good-to-Have 1. Knowledge of / Experience in Linux operating system.
2. Familiar with ITIL procedures. Worked on Incident, Change and Problem management.
3. Any automation like Shell/Bash/Ansible scripting.
4. Good communication and client handling skills.
SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 This position is responsible for the day to day AIX operational activities.
2 24/7 support of AIX server environment.
3 It includes installation, configuration and maintenance of AIX servers.
4 Work with various support and application teams to resolve/prevent various issues and escalations.
5 Should take a lead and drive various projects independently.

Technology Brief
