Job Description: A General Manager/Assistant Vice President (GM/AVP) for Ferro Alloys oversees and manages all operational, production, and strategic aspects of a ferro-alloy plant, including planning, process improvement, quality control, and safety, with responsibilities for team management and financial oversight to achieve organizational goals. Key duties involve developing strategies to maximize production and efficiency, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and managing commercial aspects like raw material procurement and inventory. Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies, long-term plans, and production targets for the ferro-alloy division.
- Production Management: Oversee all production stages, ensuring high-quality output, productive resource utilization, and timely delivery of finished goods.
- Efficiency & Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and optimize the use of resources.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety norms and environmental regulations within the plant operations.




- Supply Chain Management: Manage the supply chain from raw material sourcing to finished goods dispatch, coordinating with mines and suppliers.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the entire plant team.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control the commercial aspects of operations, including raw material and inventory costs.
- Team & Administration: Manage plant administration, including labor, inventory, and local community relations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Diploma, B.E., B.Tech in Metallurgy, or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry are common qualifications for this role.
- Experience: Extensive experience (often 15+ years) in the production of ferro-alloys, such as Silico/Ferro Manganese.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ferro-alloy production processes, especially in arc furnace operations (e.g., 9MVA to 18MVA furnaces).
- Management Skills: Proven ability to provide strategic leadership, manage teams, and oversee plant operations independently.
