Job Description:

1. Oversee all taxation matters (both Direct and
Indirect taxes) for a media group, ensuring full
compliance with the Goods and Services Tax (GST)
Act and Income Tax Act.
2. To draft, appear and represent before GST and
Income tax department and other tax authorities.
3. Possess in-depth knowledge and practical
experience in Direct Tax laws, including Income
Tax, TDS, compliance, assessments (including
virtual assessments), and litigation.
4. Have strong expertise in Indirect Tax laws, such as
GST, Customs, Service Tax, VAT/CST, and related
compliance, assessments, and dispute resolution.
5. To manage multi-state GST registrations and liaise
with GST authorities for responding to notices,
handling assessments, and overseeing audits.
6. Collaborate with law firms, tax consultants, and
external counsel to prepare legal documents and
represent the company during hearings.
7. Manage various refunds, claims and deposit paid




under protest.
8. Contribute to tax planning strategies in
partnership with the management to optimize tax
efficiency
9. Lead tax optimization efforts during mergers and
demergers within the Group, ensuring alignment
with business objectives.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Skills  Hands-on experience in handling tax function for a
organization in service industry with multi location
delivery and with an annual turnover of Rs.500 crores
and more.
 Very good knowledge of excel, SAP
 Team member and good at inter personal relationships
 Positive hold on presentation of data
 Strong analytical & Communication skills
 To govern a team of 5 persons including staffs who are
having dotted line reporting to the profile
