Job Description:

Position: Sr. Engineer - Quality

Location: Daman

Experience: 5 - 7 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:

- Visual and Dimensional Inspection of components of deferent categories like casting, fabrications, bought out, machined components, as per drawing / check sheet, Sales order and prepare Inspection Reports.
- Verification approval of components/parts thereby release to internal or external customers whenever required.
- Identify non-conformance and segregate from acceptance.
- Recording of non-conformance SIR’s for all inhouse and supplier rejections in Central apps portal and inform to respective shop engineer/buyer and ask for Root Cause analysis and CA for non-recurrence.
- Verification of corrective actions and monitor the quality data to identify process improvement opportunities and implementation of action items.
- Work with SCM, Design, Planning and Manufacturing team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.
- To make Quality MIS on daily /weekly/monthly basis
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & inhouse PPM.
- To ensure the calibration of all measuring instruments (in-house as well as outside) and maintain the proper record for the same.

Required Skills:





- Should be well versed in all types of manufacturing processes like casting, fabrication, machining, rolling, forging, heat treatment etc.
- Knowledge in different Material Grades like ASME, ASTM, IS, ISO, DIN & their properties.
- Basic knowledge of machining process of Conventional &, CNC machines e.g. VMC, HMC.
- Should be well versed with Machining processes.
- Operating Knowledge of Precise Measuring Instruments like Micrometre, Bore Gauge,2D Height Gauge, CMM etc and well versed in GD & T.
- Should have qualified communication skills, required for communicating with external agencies & interdepartmental teams
- Knowledge of NDT practices like – UT, RT, DPT & MPT & welding practices like WPS/PQR/WPQ
- Conversant with ISO-9001-2015 or equivalent
- Knowledge of Six Sigma Methodology and preferred having Green Belt certification.
- Knowledge of NDT practices like – UT, RT, DPT & MPT & welding practices like WPS/PQR/WPQ
- Prefer the background from Pumps or Valves Industry.

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical

Salary: Upto 12.00 LPA
