Backup:
Required Valuable hands on Experience in NetBackup, Backup Exec & Barracuda Tools
NetBackup MediaMaster & Client up-gradation , Backup Exec server & client upgradation
NetBackup & Backup Exec backup failure troubleshooting
Expertise on Performance backup tuning and understand the tuning Parameters.
Server/Client installation on different platforms (Unix/Windows/Linux).
Create and Manage Dataset, Schedule and Retention Policy.
Good knowledge on DR and restoring backups based on requirement. Configuring Events, Notifications
Understanding of Duplication & Replication of backup via SLP in NetBackup.
Knowledge on housekeeping to perform the Disk pool utilization below threshold
Ensure integration and compatibility among various backup tools.
Monitor backup environments to ensure the health and performance of backup jobs.
Generate regular reports on backup status, capacity planning, and SLA adherence.




Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain detailed documentation of backup configurations, processes, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide L2 support for complex backup and recovery issues.
Work closely with L1 and L2 support teams to resolve escalated issues.
Training and Mentorship:
Mentor junior team members and provide training on backup and recovery best practices.
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in backup and recovery, with a focus on Veritas NetBackup.
Proficiency in Backup Exec, NetBackup, Barracuda backup tools.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Veritas Certified Specialist, VMware Certified Professional) are preferred.
