Job Description: A Manager, Shots Production (more commonly known as a Production Manager in film, TV, or photo production) is responsible for the physical and logistical aspects of a shoot, ensuring it is completed on schedule and within budget. They act as the link between strategy and execution, coordinating resources, schedules, and workflows. Key Responsibilities

- Budgeting and Financial Management: Estimating costs, negotiating rates with vendors and crew, issuing purchase orders, processing invoices, and tracking all expenses to stay within the approved budget.
- Scheduling and Planning: Creating and managing detailed shooting schedules and critical paths, coordinating cast and crew availability, and adapting timelines as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Logistics and Resource Management: Booking locations and studios, securing necessary permits and insurance, organizing travel and accommodation, coordinating equipment rentals, and arranging catering.
- Crew and Talent Management: Hiring production staff (e.g., production coordinators, assistants) and freelance talent (photographers, stylists, camera operators), negotiating pay rates, and managing crew on set.
- Quality Control and Compliance: Ensuring the final output meets the required creative brief and quality standards. They also enforce health, safety,



and legal regulations (including copyright and union agreements) on set.
- Communication and Problem Solving: Serving as the main point of contact for the production, liaising with the producer, director, other department heads (e.g., art direction, post-production), and resolving any issues or bottlenecks that arise during the production process.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Relevant experience in film, TV, photo, or media production is typically required (e.g., 3-5+ years).
- Leadership and Communication: Robust ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, communicate effectively, and build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Organizational and Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and tight deadlines simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to act decisively, anticipate bottlenecks, and resolve unexpected issues quickly and efficiently.
