Role Overview

Udukku Music is looking for an organized and communicative individual to serve as the Facilitator and Manager for Udukku's music practice classes - a group practice class for beginner-to-intermediate music learners, across three batches: (1) Monday, Wednesday, Friday; (2) Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday; and (3) Daily.

This is a reduced hours, hands-on role, with a monthly pay of Rs 10,000. The candidate should be available for approximately 6 hours per day, with flexible timings (mandatory), as scheduling needs may shift depending on class batches and events. The scope extends beyond management, encompassing additional operational duties and support for research requirements.

There is potential for this role to expand into a full-time position in the future, based on fit and performance.

Responsibilities

- Manage all onboarding communications - welcome messages and WhatsApp group additions - in coordination with the Udukku Team
- Serve as the day-to-day WhatsApp point of contact across batch groups; send all required recurring messages on time, including mid-month referral nudges and pre-renewal reminders
- Manage and update Google Sheets for subscriber list, class-by-class attendance, attendance percentages, and Goals & Reflections call notes
- Manage the end-to-end communication cycle for Community Mixer and Expansion Class events: announcements, reminders, poll messages, and post-event follow-ups




- Moderate the community WhatsApp group during open windows and maintain awareness of each subscriber's attendance trajectory so incentive messages land at the right moment
- Take on additional operational tasks, including managing some of the regular classes directly
- Support research work as needed, and assist with creating and organizing documents/PDFs (e.g., class materials, notes, reference resources)

Qualifications

- Robust communication skills, good host and anchor -ability to communicate with a crowd with confidence (mandatory)
- Managerial and organizational ability
- Comfortable with WhatsApp as a primary communication and community management tool
- Proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Forms, and familiarity with Notion
- High reliability and responsiveness
- Availability on Sundays and flexible with timings (mandatory)
- Familiarity with or appreciation of vocal music (preferred but not mandatory)
- Prior experience in community management, program coordination, or operations at a small organization or EdTech environment (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience with scheduling tools
