Pariskq is a product-led engineering team that values sound technical judgement, simplicity, reliability, and ownership. Engineers work across product and platform boundaries and are expected to understand how the systems they build behave in production.

The Role:

Pariskq is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join its Bengaluru engineering team for six months. The intern will work on production software and contribute across the application stack, including user-facing product experiences, backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure, external integrations, and applied AI capabilities.

The role is intended for an engineer who is comfortable working across disciplines, from building frontend workflows and backend APIs to integrating external systems, deploying changes, and investigating production behaviour.

What You'll Do:

- Build product experiences using modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.
- Develop backend systems, APIs, services, and business workflows using Node.js, NestJS, Python, or comparable technologies.
- Design application data models in PostgreSQL, optimize queries, manage schema migrations, and maintain data integrity.




- Deploy and operate services on AWS while contributing to containerisation and CI/CD workflows.
- Build integrations with third-party APIs, enterprise platforms, GPS/telematics systems, IoT devices, webhooks, and real-time data sources.
- Contribute to the evaluation and integration of AI/ML capabilities, including intelligent automation, generative AI, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Write tests, review code, diagnose defects, and improve system reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver practical technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C++, or another general-purpose programming language.
- Working understanding of web applications, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Ability to read unfamiliar code,



investigate problems methodically, and learn new technologies independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, Express, or Python.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, Prisma, or another ORM.
- Exposure to AWS, Docker, Linux, Nginx, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools.
- Experience or project exposure in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, including applied ML, generative AI, LLMs, NLP, computer vision, or intelligent automation.
- Experience integrating AI models, AI APIs, or AI-enabled services into software applications.
- Experience building or integrating APIs, webhooks, WebSockets, MQTT, or other event-driven systems.
- Exposure to IoT, GPS/telematics, maps, geospatial systems, or enterprise software.
- Experience taking a software project from implementation through deployment.
