Trainee Engineer – CAD Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Trainee Engineer – CAD to join our team. This role involves preparing 2D structural and fabrication drawings for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) using CAD software. Fresh graduates with CADD training and candidates with 1–2 years of relevant CAD drafting experience are encouraged to apply.

Work Responsibilities

- Assist in creating detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, and general arrangement drawings using CADD .
- Collaborate with senior engineers and detailers to understand project requirements and technical standards.
- Support in preparing the Bill of Materials (BOM) for PEB structural components.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, comply with project specifications, and meet quality standards.
- Help maintain project timelines by coordinating with team members and resolving drawing-related issues.
- Continuously develop skills and stay updated on PEB detailing practices and CADD.

Required Skills & Proficiencies

- Good knowledge of CADD with a strong willingness to learn advanced CAD tools.
- Basic understanding of structural engineering concepts and eagerness to improve.
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.




- Familiarity with or willingness to learn industry standards and codes.
- Basic proficiency in Excel for data management and simple calculations.

Academic Background & Experience

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in PEB or structural steel detailing.
- Freshers with strong CAD skills and relevant training are also encouraged to apply.
- Good working knowledge of CADD is a plus.
- Basic understanding of steel structures and construction drawings.
