Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java API Operations Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and infrastructure, ensuring our complex J2EE systems and API operations run efficiently, securely, and seamlessly. You will design functional solutions, assess technical impacts, guide developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

· Design & Development: Deliver efficient, functional, and maintainable code and design solutions within active projects.

· Impact Analysis: Assess and understand the impact of infrastructure and technical changes across the environment.

· Documentation & Reviews: Create comprehensive design and development documentation; actively participate in design and code reviews.

· Team Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight to developers to ensure successful project and operational delivery.

· Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate effectively with operations managers, project managers, BSAs, designers, and developers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

· Business Alignment: Learn internal clients’ business models, existing applications, supporting infrastructure, and standard design patterns.

· Technical Estimation: Provide accurate development and infrastructure estimates aligned with the established architectural solutions.

· Security & Compliance: Ensure all developed solutions strictly comply with internal information security policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Experience:



3 to 6 years of hands-on experience developing complex systems based on the J2EE framework.

· Methodology: Strong awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and core quality concepts.

· Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Core Backend Technologies:

o Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring-Data, and Spring Batch.

o SOA (SOAP and REST web services) and Hibernate/JPA.

o Testing tools: JUNIT 4/5 and Mocking frameworks.

o Data formats & Databases: XML, SQL, and IBM DB2.

o Nice to have: Experience building or supporting Microservices.

· DevOps & Build Tools: Maven, Gradle, Git with Bitbucket, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

· Application Servers: Hands-on experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, or Liberty WebSphere servers.

· Project Management Tools: Professional experience using JIRA.

Pay: ₹125,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per year
