Collection Executive – Roles & Responsibilities (BSNL)1. Payment Collection

- Collect outstanding bills from BSNL customers (individual and corporate).
- Follow up with customers through calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and personal visits.
- Ensure timely collection of postpaid mobile, broadband, FTTH, and leased line bills.

2. Customer Follow-up

- Contact customers before the due date to remind them of pending payments.
- Resolve customer concerns related to bills or payment issues.
- Coordinate with the BSNL customer service team when required.

3. Record Maintenance

- Maintain daily collection reports.
- Update payment status in the collection register or software.
- Keep records of overdue accounts and recovery progress.

4. Cash & Digital Payment Handling

- Collect payments through cash, UPI, cheque, or online banking.
- Issue payment receipts to customers.
- Deposit collected cash as per company policy.

5. Recovery of Outstanding Dues

- Identify long-pending accounts.
- Visit customers for recovery when necessary.
- Negotiate payment schedules for overdue accounts with management approval.

6. Reporting

- Submit daily, weekly,



and monthly collection reports.
- Report default cases to the Collection Manager or Franchise Owner.
- Maintain accurate customer payment records.

7. Coordination

- Coordinate with the sales team regarding new connections and outstanding dues.
- Assist the accounts department in payment reconciliation.
- Work with BSNL officials to resolve billing disputes.

Required Skills

- Valuable communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and payment record maintenance.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly.
- Knowledge of BSNL products and billing procedures.
- Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence (preferred for field collection).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Monthly collection target achievement.
- Collection efficiency (%).
- Reduction in overdue accounts.
- Timely submission of collection reports.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
