About the Job

Managing radiation treatment planning, medical physics services, quality assurance, and radiation safety compliance for radiation oncology services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform radiation treatment planning, dose calculations, and plan verification.

2. Conduct patient-specific QA and treatment delivery verification.

3. Perform routine QA, calibration, and commissioning of radiotherapy equipment.

4. Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and licensing requirements.





5. Conduct radiation surveys, area monitoring, and shielding evaluations.

6. Monitor occupational radiation exposure and maintain dose records.

7. Maintain QA, dosimetry, and radiation safety documentation.

8. Manage radiation protection programs for patients, staff, and the public.

9. Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance activities.

10. Investigate radiation safety incidents and implement corrective actions.

11. Provide technical support and training to clinical and technical staff.

12. Assist in procurement, acceptance testing, and implementation of new equipment.

13. Participate in quality improvement, accreditation, and departmental development activities.

14. Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department and Hospital Management related to Medical Physics and Radiation Safety.

Eligibility

* M.Sc. Medical Physics / Radiological Physics or equivalent qualification recognized by AERB

* Valid RSO Certification as per AERB requirements

* Experience in Radiation Oncology and Radiotherapy Physics preferred

* Knowledge of LINAC, Treatment Planning Systems, Dosimetry, QA, and Radiation Safety regulations

* Robust documentation, compliance, and regulatory coordination skills
