We are hiring for a Data Modeler – Insurance Lakehouse | Freelance Chance

Are you an experienced Data Modeler with expertise in Insurance, Data Warehousing, and Lakehouse Architecture? We're looking for a skilled professional to join our team and help modernize a global insurance lakehouse platform.

- ACORD or Insurance Data Models
- Graph/Semantic Modelling
- dbt Model Governance
- CDMP Certification

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for insurance domains including Policy, Claims, Premium, Reinsurance, Party, and Finance
- Develop scalable dimensional models, star schemas, conformed dimensions, and SCD strategies for Databricks/Delta Lake.
- Define business keys, surrogate keys, historization strategies, and master data structures.




- Create build-ready modelling artefacts including DDLs, data models, and mapping documents.
- Lead model governance, version control, impact analysis, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, data engineers, and business SMEs to deliver high-quality data models.
- Align enterprise data models with insurance industry standards and modern lakehouse architecture.
- Support BI and reporting teams by enabling optimized semantic models and analytical structures.
- Review engineering implementations to ensure model accuracy, performance, and scalability.
- Act as the primary modelling expert and collaborate closely with offshore development teams.

Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
