Roles & Responsibilities

As part of the Back Office Development Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of high-volume, high-performance software solutions for the Back Office System of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) platform.

Key responsibilities include:

- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
- Prepare and deliver project artefacts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including but not limited to:
- Business Rules Documentation
- Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
- Software Architecture Documents (SAD)
- Detailed Design Specifications
- Interface Specifications
- Source Code and Technical Documentation
- Test Plans, Test Specifications, and Test Reports
- Operations and Maintenance Manuals
- Training Manuals
- Other project deliverables required by the Authority and adopted standards
- Provide day-to-day application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate closely with business users, stakeholders, and project teams on requirements, design reviews, testing activities, and system implementation.
- Participate in system integration, performance tuning, and production support activities.
- Contribute to software modernization, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise software development.
- Proven experience in at least one full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including the preparation of SDLC documentation.
- Solid experience in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment of complex enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience in:




- Java/JEE and EJB application development
- Web application development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript)
- Front-end frameworks and UI technologies, including AngularJS, Angular, and Sencha Ext JS (ExtJS)
- UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
- Database application development using JDBC and SQL
- Hands-on experience with one or more relational database systems:
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- IBM DB2
- Strong experience with:
- Spring Framework
- Spring Boot
- RESTful API development
- Message Queue technologies (e.g., JMS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience using AI coding assistant tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Experience in software modernization initiatives, application migration, containerization, and microservices architecture will be an advantage.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, JBoss EAP, and IBM WebSphere Application Server will be an added advantage.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with AWS services (Amazon ECS Fargate, Amazon RDS, and AWS Lambda) and Azure Services(Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Database for PostgreSQL) will be an advantage.
- Experience in AFC (Automatic Fare Collection) systems will be an added advantage.
- Experience with Reporting Tools such as Tableau, IBM Cognos, and Power BI.
- Experience in EMV payment processing and PCI DSS compliance will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated willingness to undertake multiple assignments across different projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Pay: From ₹1,500,000.00 per year
