Job Profile:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative R&D; Head to lead the Research & Development function for home appliance products, preferably with experience in Whirlpool or similar brands. The ideal candidate will drive new product development, product innovation, design optimization, and technology advancement while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Research & Development team for home appliance products.
- Drive New Product Development (NPD) from concept to commercialization.
- Develop creative product designs and improve existing products for performance, quality, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Marketing teams for successful product launches.
- Conduct product testing, validation, and reliability analysis.
- Ensure compliance with national and international quality and safety standards.
- Monitor emerging technologies, market trends, and competitor products to drive innovation.
- Manage R&D; budgets, project timelines, and resource planning.
- Prepare technical reports, product documentation, and management presentations.
- Mentor and develop engineering teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement.





Requirements:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. M.E./M.Tech or MBA (Operations/Technology Management) is an added advantage.
- 10–12 years of experience in Research & Development within the home appliance manufacturing industry.
- Experience with Whirlpool or similar brands such as LG, Samsung, Haier, Godrej, Panasonic, Voltas, Daikin, or Blue Star is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product design, HVAC/home appliance technologies, product testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Creo, PLM, and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
