Role Description The 2D Animation Artist will work full time on-site at the Kolkata studio, collaborating closely with directors, storyboard artists, and fellow animators. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating high-quality 2D character and scene animations, interpreting storyboards into smooth motion, and ensuring consistency in style and timing across sequences. The artist will refine key frames and in-betweens, troubleshoot animation issues, and incorporate feedback from leads to enhance visual storytelling.





The role also involves coordinating with compositors and other team members to align animation with overall project direction and production schedules, while maintaining project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid skills in 2D Animation and Character Animation for stylized and narrative-driven projects.

Candidates should possess solid Storyboarding and Animation fundamentals to translate scripts and concepts into clear visual sequences.

Candidates should possess working knowledge of 3D Animation principles to collaborate effectively across mixed-media projects (experience in 3D tools is an advantage, not a requirement).

Candidates should possess proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or equivalent).

Candidates should possess robust drawing skills, understanding of anatomy, motion, and acting for animation.

Candidates should possess good communication and teamwork abilities, with a capacity to take constructive feedback and iterate quickly.

Relevant diploma or degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Prior studio or production experience in 2D animated series, films, or commercials is preferred.
