Key Responsibilities:
Perform aerostructure design for components such as fuselage, primary & Secondary support structures, brackets, sheet metal parts, and assemblies
Perform 3D modeling, assembly design, and drafting using CATIA V5
Create and modify engineering drawings / MBD
Work with PLM tools like Enovia/Team Center for data management and release process
Drive design reviews, interface control, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing feasibility.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements and aerospace standards (GD&T;, tolerances)
Support design changes (ECR/ECO/ERD processes)
Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, and MRB/liaison teams for design validation and issue resolution
Lead and mentor a team of engineers; ensure quality (FTR) and on-time delivery (OTD).
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Solid knowledge of aerostructure design
Proficiency in GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Hands-on experience with CATIA V5
Experience with PLM tools such as Enovia / Teamcenter
Valuable understanding of sheet metal, machining, and assembly process
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience in aircraft development programs (Airbus/Boeing etc.)
Basic knowledge of stress analysis and manufacturing processes
Valuable communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
10+ years of relevant experience in airframe design
