Role Description This is a full time, in office Accountant role based in Ranchi. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliation of bank and cash accounts. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

The Accountant will support store-level and corporate financial reporting, monitor expenses,



and help optimize costs across Hypermart and Supermart operations. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams, coordinating with external auditors or consultants as needed, and maintaining accurate financial documentation and records.

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting.

Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis.

Experience with GST, TDS, and other Indian taxation and compliance requirements.

Ability to perform account reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support budgeting activities.

Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and time management skills.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with store and corporate teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.

Prior experience in retail or FMCG sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
