Role Overview The Academic Head is the senior-most academic authority at the respective Drishti centre, responsible for overseeing all courses and academic operations running from that location. This includes UPSC and State PCS programmes, faculty management, academic quality, student learning outcomes, and day-to-day coordination between content, operations, and student care teams. The role requires a combination of academic depth, institutional leadership, and operational ownership — ensuring that Drishti's standards are consistently upheld at the centre level.

Key Responsibilities
Provide academic leadership and direction for all UPSC and State PCS (UPPCS) courses running from the centre.
Oversee the full academic calendar: batch scheduling, topic coverage plans, test schedules, doubt sessions, special lectures and batch visits.
Manage and monitor teaching quality, feedback, resolve academic disputes, and ensure consistent delivery standards.
Ensure all academic content, study materials, test series and other deliverables promised are distributed at the centre in timely manner.
Act as the primary academic point of contact for students — address grievances, and drive student motivation and retention.




Coordinate with the Online Courses team to ensure live sessions, recorded content, and mentorship activities are aligned with centre academic plans.

Required Qualifications
Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline
1–3 years of experience in an educational institution, coaching centre, or the EdTech industry
Solid command of UPSC / UPPCS syllabus, exam pattern, and preparation strategy
Demonstrated ability to manage faculty, students, and academic schedules simultaneously
Comfortable with Excel and other Tools including use of AI
Excellent communication in Hindi & English — written and verbal
Ensure all centre academic SOPs are followed

Preferred Skills
Prior experience as a mentor or academic coordinator in a UPSC/PCS coaching institution
Personal familiarity with the UPSC and state PCS preparation journey (appeared for exam is a plus)
Comfort with data — ability to read student performance reports and act on insights
Experience conducting orientation sessions, batch visits, demo classes, or student counselling
Exposure to online/hybrid course delivery settings
