Roles and Responsibilities of an Accounts Manager
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
Manage cash flow, banking transactions, and fund allocation.
Monitor budgets, expenses, and financial performance against targets.
Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts.
Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and financial reviews.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GST/VAT, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Prepare and file tax returns and regulatory reports on time.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Supervise and mentor the accounts team, assigning tasks and reviewing work.
Liaise with auditors, banks, vendors, and government authorities.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.




Support management with financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
