Role Description The Accountant role at Indochats is a full time hybrid position based in Kolkata, with some flexibility for work from home. The person in this role will manage daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.

They will prepare and review financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, assist with month-end and year-end closing,



and collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial insights. They will also participate in improving financial processes and controls to support the company’s growth and stability.

Qualifications
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger management.
Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and comfort working with digital tools.
Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret financial data for decision-making.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid setting, balancing in-office work in Kolkata with remote responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
Experience in a technology or digital services company is beneficial, along with familiarity with compliance and audit processes.
