Job Title: AIX L2 Engineer (End-to-End LPAR Management)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AIX L2 Engineer with solid expertise in IBM AIX administration and end-to-end LPAR (Logical Partition) management. The candidate should be capable of managing AIX environments, performing LPAR provisioning, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and supporting enterprise production infrastructure while ensuring high availability and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end administration of IBM AIX servers.
Manage the complete lifecycle of LPARs, including creation, configuration, resizing, migration, cloning, and decommissioning.
Provision and manage Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) settings.
Configure and manage CPU, memory, and storage resources for LPARs.
Perform AIX installation, patching, upgrades, and technology level (TL/SP) updates.
Monitor system performance and perform capacity planning.
Troubleshoot OS, hardware, boot, filesystem,



and performance-related issues.
Configure and manage filesystems, LVM, paging space, and multipathing.
Coordinate with storage and backup teams for SAN connectivity and storage allocation.
Support PowerVM virtualization and Dynamic LPAR (DLPAR) operations.
Implement system security, user administration, and OS hardening.
Perform regular health checks and preventive maintenance.
Handle incident, problem, and change management activities as per ITIL processes.
Prepare technical documentation and operational procedures.
