The Applied R&D; Engineer conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of products, services, systems, tools, processes, etc. Integrates, verifies, tests, and modifies SW / HW / system components and capitalises on creative solutions to meet particular requirements and specifications.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Robust technical background of VoIP related protocols, such as SIP, H.248, T38, RTP, etc Familiar with voice test instrument, such abacus, fax/modem
Core knowledge in IMS, VoLTE, VoIP, SIP Testing domain , voice quality/QoS, ITU-T G.168 echo cancellation, DSP ,Voice codecs, RTP/RTCP, RFC2833” and Management protocols: SNMP, Netconfig/Yang.
Positive Understanding RJ11, Z-interface specs.
Strong Knowledge in Testing Concepts & Methodologies, Test Strategy & Test Plan.

Key Skills And Experience You have:
Bachelor or above, telecommunication, electronic engineering, computer science,



or related major preferred with 5+ years Experience in VoIP related product testing ( FTTx, Access gateway, softswitch or IMS).
Hands of Experience in Testing / Traffic Simulation Tools like SIPp ,voiceTool.
Exposure to Test Automation, hands on experience in automation development in Python & Shell and automation frame work , like Robot, Selenium.
Experience with products like xDSL, GPON, and IPDSLAM, aligning well with the product line will be added advantage.

It would be nice if you also had:
Analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
Understanding of IPV4/IPV6 addressing and TCP/IP and basic understanding of L2/L3 routing.
Works with substantial discretion and uses specialist knowledge, analytical skills, judgment and broad conceptual and practical experience to solve complex problems and to contribute to process improvements
