We're looking for a data analytics intern to join Growth BI, a Melbourne-based analytics and BI consultancy working with real clients on real projects.

Role Description The Data Analytics Intern — Growth BI | Melbourne (Hybrid) role is a contract, remote position focused on supporting client projects and internal analytics initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with helping build and maintain dashboards and reports in tools such as Power BI. The intern will contribute to exploratory data analysis, basic data modeling, and documentation of data pipelines and processes.

This role also involves collaborating with team to interpret data findings, preparing visualizations. The position offers exposure to contemporary analytics practices and the prospect to learn in a mentoring-focused environment.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in data-focused skills, including Data Analytics and Data Analysis.





Solid Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret quantitative information and derive meaningful insights.

Competence in Data Management, including organizing, cleaning, and validating datasets from multiple sources.

Basic understanding of Data Modeling concepts and structures used in reporting and dashboards.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and fundamental SQL or scripting skills is beneficial.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data findings to non-technical audiences.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative setting.
