Role Description The Content Editor role at Dainik Janwani is a full-time, in office position based in Meerut.

The Content

Editor will review, edit, and refine articles and digital content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with editorial standards and the publication’s style. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with writers and reporters, providing editorial feedback, fact-checking and verifying information, and overseeing content layout for web or print platforms. The role also involves managing content schedules, ensuring timely publication, aligning content with audience interests, and collaborating with the editorial team to plan stories and special features. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work under deadlines,



and a commitment to maintaining high-quality, ethical journalism.

Qualifications
Strong editorial and content management skills, with experience overseeing content workflows and maintaining editorial standards.
Proficiency in writing and web content writing, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different formats and audiences.
Solid research skills, including fact-checking, source verification, and information synthesis.
Excellent command of English and/or relevant regional languages, with exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Familiarity with digital publishing tools, content management systems, and basic SEO principles.
Ability to collaborate effectively with reporters, writers, designers, and other team members in a rapid-paced newsroom environment.
Robust organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in news, media, or publishing is preferred; knowledge of local and regional issues in Uttar Pradesh is an advantage.
