Job Summary The CMM Inspector is responsible for inspecting precision-machined components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and conventional measuring instruments to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T; requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards. The role includes CMM operation, inspection reporting, calibration support, and maintaining quality records.

Key Responsibilities
Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect machined components.
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM and conventional measuring instruments.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; symbols, and customer specifications.
Load and execute CMM programs and make minor program modifications, where authorized.
Verify dimensions, geometrical tolerances, and surface quality of components.
Prepare and maintain CMM inspection reports and quality records.
Identify non-conforming products and report deviations to the Quality Supervisor.
Ensure measuring instruments and CMM equipment are calibrated and maintained.
Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and customer inspection requirements.




Maintain inspection records in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
Follow 5S practices, safety procedures, and company quality standards.

Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent.
Certification or training in CMM operation is preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T; (ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS) is an added advantage.

Experience
2–5 years of experience in CMM inspection within a precision machining or manufacturing workplace.
Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS,HEXAGON is preferred.

Required Skills
Proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
Experience with precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and surface roughness testers.
Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
Ability to analyze inspection results and prepare accurate reports.
Positive problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹52,230.36 per month
