Role & responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the companys EHS policies, systems, and processes in alignment with corporate objectives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation and standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Lead risk identification, hazard analysis, safety audits, and incident investigations to mitigate risks and prevent workplace accidents.
Design and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to empower employees and contractors.
Oversee emergency preparedness, response, and crisis management plans.
Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submissions and approvals of all required EHS documentation.
Champion sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy conservation, and pollution control.
Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and KPIs to senior leadership, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate closely with operational teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills Required:
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid knowledge of local and international EHS regulations, standards, and certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence organizational culture, and drive behavioural change.
