: Junior Bartender

Position Overview

Jaipur UP-TO-DATE is looking for a Junior Bartender to join our bar team. This is an entry-level role suited to someone with some beverage service exposure who is eager to build hands-on bartending skills. The role includes preparing and serving drinks, supporting senior bartenders, and managing the register during service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beverages — including basic cocktails, mocktails, and standard bar pours — under the guidance of senior bartenders

Take drink orders accurately and serve guests in a timely, friendly manner

Operate and maintain the cash register, including processing payments, handling cash and card transactions, and reconciling the till at the end of each shift

Read menus, recipe cards, and order tickets, and communicate clearly with guests and staff in English

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, and stock

Monitor and restock bar inventory,



and report shortages to the bar manager

Follow all standard recipes, portioning guidelines, and responsible alcohol service practices

Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar before and after service

Adhere to hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations at all times Requirements

Some prior exposure to beverage service or bartending (internship, training, or on-the-job experience welcome)

Ability to read and write in English

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift bar stock as required A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation

Certification in responsible beverage service (if applicable locally)

Prior experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
