Role Description The HCC Coder role is a full time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The HCC Coder will review medical records to assign accurate Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) and other relevant diagnosis codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements. Daily responsibilities include validating documentation, identifying opportunities for risk adjustment optimization, and collaborating with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding discrepancies.

Candidates should possess robust Medical Coding and Coding Experience,



with specific exposure to HCC and risk adjustment coding.

Must Be Based Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management principles to accurately interpret clinical documentation.

Candidates should possess relevant credentials such as RHIT or equivalent coding/health information certifications.

Candidates should possess familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and risk adjustment guidelines, along with basic understanding of payer policies.

Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with electronic health record (EHR) and billing systems.

Candidates should possess robust written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Previous experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, or auditing is beneficial; a diploma or degree in health information management or a related field is preferred.
